2. FAQ - Questions and Answers

There are questions about Duinocoin (DUCO) that come up again and again. We have collected these "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) here.

Q: Can you only mine the Duinocoin on Arduinos?

A: No, you can do it on many microcontrollers (AVR, ESP, STM etc.) as well as on any computer with a current Python 3.x interpreter.

Q: How much money can I make with an Arduino UNO?

A: Little to none. There was a price high in mid-March at around US$0.00017 per DUCO, currently (19 April 2022) the DUCO is at US$0.000098. Consequently, you need 10204 DUCO for one US dollar or 11204 DUCO for one euro (1 USD = 0.93 EUR).

An Arduino currently produces just under 6 DUCO per day, which means that in one year it produces 6*365=2190 DUCO or 0.215 US dollars. At a price of 3 US$ for an Arduino Nano clone from China, one could therefore buy another Nano every 14 years from the DUCO generated. Roughly speaking, you would have to have well over 100,000 Arduinos mined in order to be able to make even a rudimentary living from the DUCO.

Price of the Dunicoin (DUCO) on 19.04.2022

The Duinocoin (DUCO) exchange rate was US$0.000098 on 19 April 2022.

Q: Is it worth overclocking the Arduino?

A: No. Financially, the DUCO is not worth it, so overclocking is even less worthwhile. Besides, you might quickly get problems with the Kolka system and the classification into "hash/s classes" if your own Arduinos are suddenly 25% faster than usual (at 20 instead of 16 MHz, for example).

Q: On which of the known Bitcoin exchanges can I best sell the DUCO?

A: None. The reason - as with the Magicoin (XMG), for example - is that the DUCO does not meet all the criteria for trustworthy trading on professional exchanges. That is why DUCO and XMG are not listed on CoinMarketCap, for example.

See e.g. https://coinmarketcap.com/de/currencies/xmg/.
